Chad Johnson worked with the Bengals Thursday after taking the previous day off, according to the team's official site. He's dealing with a sore ankle but barring a setback he will play Sunday at Denver.

Earlier this week, Chad Johnson complained about how he's been used this season. Apparently, head coach Marvin Lewis and quarterback Carson Palmer were listening. Johnson caught 11 passes for a career-best and club-record 260 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday.

Chad Johnson returned for the early part of the morning practice Friday and should be fine for Sunday's game with Carolina, according to the Bengals official site. He's officially listed as probable with his shoulder injury. Head coach Marvin Lewis said Johnson is ready to play. Johnson technically didn't practice the entire day, however, according to the NFL's official injury report.

Chad Johnson, who took a blow to the head during last week's game and didn't know where he was, said he would play on Sunday against the Steelers, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. "I haven't been hit since I've been in the NFL, so that's my one," Johnson said. "It was a good hit. He (Browns safety Brian Russell) has a great story for his grandkids." Johnson did admit that his shoulder still hurt, though.

Chad Johnson took a blow to the head during Sunday's game and didn't know where he was, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. More should be known about his status today, but he wasn't available for post-game interviews. "He's a little loopy," quarterback Carson Palmer said of Johnson. "He's a little out of it, but he'll be ready."

Chad Johnson left yesterday's minicamp session with a hamstring injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was carted away, presumably to undergo an MRI.

Chad Johnson reworked his contract with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, locking him in with the team through at least the 2010 season, according to the AP. The new contract will give Johnson $10.75 million more than he would have made under the old deal and includes a club option for 2011. The three-time Pro Bowl receiver nabbed a career high 97 catches for 1,432 yards last season, leading the AFC in both categories.
