Chris Chambers had four catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in Monday's win over Denver. He also had one rushing attempt, for eight yards. Chambers has quietly started to come around as a reliable fantasy target, collecting 23 catches for 399 yards and two scores over the last six weeks.

New Charger Chris Chambers spent his first day with the team getting to know quarterback Phillip Rivers and the small differences between the Dolphins playbook. "I could pretty much just step right into the huddle and play a game," said Chambers. "I'm game ready." Chambers has the advantage of the Chargers' Week 7 bye to have an additional seven days to learn the playbook and routes.

The Chargers have acquired Chris Chambers in a trade with the Dolphins, ESPN is reporting. Terms of the deal are not known. The teams are expected to make an announcement before 4:00 p.m. EST. We assume this means the Chargers do not expect Eric Parker to return anytime soon. Chambers should jump into the starting lineup when the Chargers return in Week 8, but we don't view this as much (if any) of an upgrade for the receiver's fantasy value. Marty Booker now looks like the No. 1 option in Miami, with Ted Ginn and Derek Hagan moving into bigger roles.

Chris Chambers is nursing a calf injury he suffered "about a week ago," according to the Dolphins official website. He has been deemed day-to-day and was not listed on Thursday's official injury report.

Chris Chambers and the rest of the Dolphins offense continue to become acquainted with Cam Cameron's offense, but Chambers doesn't believe the team will be fully up to speed all year. "We're not going to see 100 percent of this offense maybe for a couple of years," Chambers told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "It makes a lot of sense to me. We may not show as much right now, but eventually when we get the ball rolling I think people will be pleasantly surprised to see our attack."

A hearing on Chris Chambers' DWI case that was originally scheduled for Wednesday was postponed until September 26. Though his lawyer told the Associated Press Chambers would plead not guilty, he told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel he wouldn't speculate on the outcome. If he is found guilty, he could lose his driver's license for up to a year, pay a fine of up to $500, and perform community service. It's not clear if he would face punishment from the NFL.

Chris Chambers was arrested early Saturday on charges of driving while impaired and speeding, the AP reports. He faces charges of driving while impaired, speeding, and reckless driving.
