Jameel Cook will not play this week due to his ailing knee, according to the Houston Chronicle. In fact, the Texans likely will place the fullback on injured reserve, formally ending his season.

The Texans downgraded the status of Jameel Cook from probable to questionable on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. He'll test out his injured knee on the field prior to Sunday's game to determine whether he'll be able to play.

Jameel Cook hasn't been able to practice because of his knee injury, according to the Houston Chronicle. If Cook can't go on Sunday at Oakland, it could lead to Gary Kubiak keeping all three of his tailbacks (Wali Lundy, Sam Gado, Ron Dayne) active.
