Steve Smith finally busted out on Saturday, putting up nine catches for 137 yards and a touchdown. It was his first visit to the end zone since Week 6. Smith missed a few snaps late in the game with a right-shoulder injury; we'll see how he practices next week.

Panthers wideout Steve Smith will likely return to action this week after missing Sundays game with bruised shin, according to the Charlotte Observer. "I think there's a much better chance (of his playing) this week than say, later in the week last week," head coach John Fox told the paper. Smith continues to be held down by poor quarterbacking, but he should have a good day against the Saints and their porous secondary.

Steve Smith missed Sunday's game due to a bruised left shin. However, he has no broken bones in the area of the injury, according to the Charlotte Observer. That's good news, but it's not clear when Smith will return to game action.

Steve Smith missed his third straight practice on Friday due to his injured shin. "It'll be a game-time decision, day to day," coach John Fox said, according to the Charlotte Observer. "It's still sore." You'll need to make sure that Smith is active before putting him into your lineup on Sunday.
