Kicker Lawrence Tynes missed a 21-yard field goal in the Week 3 win over the Bucs. He shanked a 29-yard try in Week 2. "I wish I had an answer," Tynes tells the Newark Star-Ledger. "I didn't kick good all week. I didn't kick good in pregame and I didn't kick good in the game. It was pretty much just a bad week all around for me."

Lawrence Tynes hit 4-of-5 field goals, including a last second game-winner as the Giants defeated the Cowboys 33-31. He hit from 30, 28, 36, and 37 yards while missing from 29.

The AP reports that the Giants may activate Lawrence Tynes for Sunday's game against the Eagles. John Carney would still handle field goal duties, but Tynes would kickoff. Tynes said Coughlin has not indicated that he will play, so he is not optimistic. He is ready though. “I would like to contribute in the playoffs, even if it is just kicking off,” Tynes said.
