Correll Buckhalter will miss the entire 2005 season after having his third season ending knee surgery in four seasons, according to the AP. He underwent surgery to repair a torn patella tendon in his right knee Tuesday.

Correll Buckhalter left pratice Friday morning with a leg injury that the Eagles termed a bone bruise. However, Buckhalter told reporters that his knee was sore. Buckhalter missed the 2002 and 2004 seasons with serious knee injuries.

The Eagles re-signed Correll Buckhalter to a two-year deal on Wednesday, according to the AP. He missed all of last season with a torn patella tendon in his right knee and will serve as the backup to Brian Westbrook in 2005. "Correll has been a very productive back in our offense and we're glad to have him back in the mix," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "His rehabilitation process is going well and we expect him to contribute during the 2005 season."
