Eric Johnson re-signed with the Saints on Monday, this according to the Times_Picayune. Terms of the deal were not announced, but the length of the deal is one year. Johnson started 12 games last year and was valuable in PPR formats as he hauled in 48 passes, but only two scores and 378 yards certainly aren't numbers you want to see in your lineup. Mark Campbell and Billy Miller are also in the mix at TE for the Saints.

Eric Johnson will not play on Sunday. He was ruled out Friday after missing practice all week with a groin injury, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Billy Miller will replace Johnson at tight end in the Saints' starting lineup.

Eric Johnson was the lone productive player for the Saints in the regular-season opener, as they were smoked by the Colts 41-10 Thursday. Johnson led all receivers in the game with eight catches for 56 yards. When healthy, Johnson can be a reliable receiver and could see enough action come his way in New Orleans to contribute as a fantasy tight end.

Eric Johnson was able to practice for the third straight day on Friday, according to the Contra Costa Times. He's still listed as questionable but all signs point to a return to action Sunday.
