The Redskins placed Derrick Blaylock on injured reserve on Thursday and re-signed running back Dee Brown. Blaylock injured his heel on August 25, the team's official web site reports.

Derrick Blaylock agreed to a deal with the Redskins on Sunday night, the Washington Post reported. Terms were not disclosed. Blaylock, 27, previously played with the Chiefs and Jets.

The Jets released Derrick Blaylock Thursday, according to Sports Network. Blaylock played in just 11 games (three starts) with the Jets over the last two seasons and managed a total of only 97 yards.

Derrick Blaylock is expected to be cut by the Jets next week, the AP reports. Blaylock started the first two games of the 2006 season, but hardly played over the final 14 games of the year.
