A.J. Feeley hopes to be able to play in week one. He underwent surgery on Friday to repair a fractured third metacarpal in his left hand. "Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be good to go," Feeley tells the team's official web site.

A.J. Feeley underwent surgery on Friday to help stabilize his broken left hand. Feeley fractured the third metacarpal on Thursday night. His status for the season opener is not yet known, the team's official web site reports.

A.J. Feeley fractured the third metacarpal bone in his left hand on Thursday night. The injury is not believed to be too serious, and Feeley will see a specialist on Friday. "It's my left hand," he tells the Philadelphia Daily News. "I will be ready to go. I played a whole series with it."

The Eagles signed A.J. Feeley to a three-year extension that will keep him with the team through the 2010 season, according to the AP. Financial terms weren't divulged. Feeley's extension makes it unlikely that Jeff Garcia will return to Philadelphia.
