The Giants then closed off the practice during the team portion, although it is known that Jared Lorenzen was taking snaps during the walk-through. |

A source close to the Giants quarterback previously stuck to the "day-to-day" outlook but changed his story on Wednesday. "I'm hearing conflicting things. I don't know what to believe anymore," the source tells the New York Daily News. A different source reveals that team physician Dr. Russell Warren initially told Manning that he has a second-degree sprain, which means some ligaments are torn and that he'd likely miss three-to-four weeks. The Giants deny that was ever the case. Regardless of the severity, Manning can play as soon as he can tolerate the pain. |
