David Carr has been confirmed to start Sunday against Buffalo, according to the Texans official site. He's dealing with a sore shoulder. "He’s absolutely fine," head coach Gary Kubiak said when asked if Carr would be limited Sunday. "He's made all the same throws this week that he did last week."

David Carr practiced Thursday and was upgraded to probable for Sunday's game with Buffalo, the Houston Chronicle reports. Barring a setback with his shoulder at Friday's practice Carr should be fine to start on the weekend. That doesn't mean fantasy owners want to jump in necessarily - Carr's passing production has fallen through the floor of late. He hasn't thrown for a touchdown in three straight games, picking up just 356 passing yards in that span. Carr's legs have picked up some of the slack, with 72 rushing yards and a touchdown in the last two games.

The Houston Chronicle reports that David Carr was limited in practice yesterday due to the bruised shoulder he sustained on Sunday. However, coach Gary Kubiak said he expects Carr to practice fully today. "Yeah, it's pretty swollen," Carr said. "We just played catch before practice, and I was able to put a little more on it than I was on Sunday. I think it's just going to steadily keep getting better until game time. It's gotten so much better since Sunday, so it should be fine"

MRI results on the right shoulder of David Carr came back negative, according to the Houston Chronicle. "All indications are that David will be fine and ready to go," coach Gary Kubiak said. "David said he was feeling pretty good when he left here today."

David Carr missed most of the fourth quarter yesterday after sustaining a bruised right shoulder, according to the Houston Chronicle. He was able to throw passes on the sideline. Carr was confident the injury wouldn't keep him out for long. However, his status for Week 11 is uncertain at this time. Sage Rosenfels would start at quarterback if Carr is unable to play.

Even though he yanked a healthy David Carr out of yesterday's game, Texans coach Gary Kubiak said that Carr will start this week against the Giants, according to the Tennessean. Kubiak said he replaced Carr with Sage Rosenfels due to concerns about turnovers, of which Carr had three.

David Carr was benched in the third quarter of Sunday's game after turning the ball over three times. Carr completed 15-of-21 passes for 113 yards before leaving. Sage Rosenfels came on to throw three touchdown passes, which could lead to a quarterback controversy. However, Carr came into the game ranked fourth in passer rating, so it seems unlikely that he'll lose his job.

The Texans exercised the three-year, $8 million option bonus on David Carr this week, according to the Houston Chronicle. An announcement is expected today. The decision to extend Carr's deal was a formality and has no bearing on what the Texans will do in the April draft.
