The Dallas Cowboys could be the frontrunners in the Javon Walker sweepstakes, according to the San Antonio Express News. The report states that Walker is a big fan of current Dallas wide receivers coach, Ray Sherman, who coached him in Green Bay – helping the free agent receiver to make the Pro Bowl. Walker might not provide the wow factor that owner Jerry Jones is looking for, but he has twice compiled 1,000-yard seasons during his career. If healthy, Walker could be a nice complimentary receiver on the other side of Terrell Owens.

Javon Walker might be on the Philadelphia Eagles radar after missing out on Randy Moss, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Walker, 29, had the Eagles' interest in 2006 before being traded from Green Bay to Denver. He caught 69 passes for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns in his first season with the Broncos in 2006, but was a major disappointment last year missing eight games due to his problematic right knee. There are other rumors circulating that every team in the NFC East has interest in Walker.
February 29, 2008
The Denver Broncos have released veteran wide receiver Javon Walker, according to the Dallas Morning News. Walker was due $5.4 million in bonuses in 2008, with the first installment to be paid early next week. No one was going to pay that and, by all appearances, the lack of a suitable trade partner prompted the team to make the move now. There are already rumors swirling that Dallas will make a move on Walker, in an attempt to pair him up with Terrell Owens.
