Player Notes
December 10, 2007
Javon Walker missed yet another game Sunday due to his ailing knee. Walker probably will have to restructure his contract to remain with the Broncos next season, according to the Denver Post. Walker has only three catches since Week 2, concerns about his surgically repaired knee will linger, and he's due $4.4 million in option bonuses during the offseason. On top of all that, Brandon Marshall has excelled as a legitimate No. 1 receiving option, and Brandon Stokley has proved to be a legit No. 2 and just got a contract extension, lessening Walker's value to the Broncos even more.
December 9, 2007
Broncos wideout Javon Walker is inactive for Week 14 because of his linger knee problems. Walker practiced this week, although he clearly hasn’t been himself on the field since returning from surgery. This makes Brandon Marshall a more tempting option for fantasy owners.

The Broncos have ruled Javon Walker out for Monday's game, according to the Denver Post. He was holding out hope of getting back into the mix this week, but Week 12 was always a more realistic target.
November 13, 2007
Javon Walker does not think he'll be able to suit up for the Week 11 tilt with the Titans. He underwent right knee surgery on October 19 and began running last week. “I would say it's probably a longshot for him to play on Monday night,” head coach Mike Shanahan tells the Denver Post. “He's got to show us what he can do during practice this week." Walker has missed the last six games.
November 10, 2007
Javon Walker is cautiously optimistic that he will be able to return to action for Week 11. "Tennessee is a maybe," Walker said Friday, according to the Denver Post. "We'll see how it goes. But there is a real chance. The way I look at it is if I'm ready for Tennessee, it'd be a bonus." That would put him ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery, so we'll have to see how the joint responds to practice next week before considering his status for Week 11.
October 30, 2007
Javon Walker claims he'll be back sooner than the six-week timeframe prescribed following his October 19 right knee surgery. "It will be sooner than six weeks," Walker tells the Denver Post. "It will be much sooner than that. It feels much better now." Fantasy owners should keep him on the end of their benches.
October 19, 2007
Receiver Javon Walker underwent surgery on his right knee on Friday, and could miss some serious time. "I heard the doctor estimate it at six weeks," Shanahan told reporters. "We'll get a better feel on it next week or so." Walker has missed the last two games due to swelling and pain associated with his knee, which is the same knee that had the ACL tear while playing with the Green Bay Packers in 2005.
October 18, 2007
Javon Walker will undergo surgery on Friday to repair issues with his right knee and is out for four weeks, the Denver Post reports. Walker has been out since Week 3 due to fluid and inflammation in his right knee. He practiced on Monday and Wednesday but apparently ran into more problems. "How quickly he comes back I'm not really sure," head coach Mike Shanahan says. "Doctors don't think it's very serious but serious enough to go in there and clean it out."

October 15, 2007
Javon Walker practiced on Monday, and he hopes to play in Week 7. However, Walker also remained realistic about the inflammation in his right knee. “It’s just an injury where it (takes) time and you don’t really get time (to rehabilitate) until the season’s overwith," Walker tells the team's official web site. "I’m ready to go... It’s getting there. It’s football, so it’s never going to be 100 percent, but I can get it monitored during the week of practice.” Walker hasn't played since Week 3.

October 2, 2007
Javon Walker is sure that his right knee won't keep him out in the long run, but he is not certain about Week 5. "I've done long-term before, and this is not it," Walker tells the Denver Post. "I just have to wait for it to drain." He insists that this swelling and inflammation has nothing to do with the torn ACL he suffered in 2005. Walker did not play in Week 4 against the Colts.

September 26, 2007
Broncos receiver Javon Walker had to sit out Wednesday’s practice because of inflammation in his right knee, which was the knee he hurt during his final season as a Packer and landed funny on during a practice in mid-August. “We thought we’d give him a day’s rest,” Mike Shanahan told the team’s website. “It’s been sore the last couple of weeks. There’s some inflammation, but hopefully it gets better.” Shanahan added that Walker underwent an MRI that revealed "nothing serious." We’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on Walker’s practice attendance for the rest of the week because it is no certainty that he will play through this on Sunday. Losing Walker would mean a lot more of Jay Cutler’s attention will be focused on Brandon Marshall.
August 17, 2007
Javon Walker landed awkwardly on his right knee during practice on Thursday morning and thought something might be amiss. "It was kind of scary," Walker tells the Rocky Mountain News. "I actually didn't know what was wrong... From what I understand, some of the tissue and cartilage is still breaking away from the surgery, which is a good thing because the range of motion gets better in my knee." An MRI confirmed the that nothing was wrong. Walker has undergone three surgeries on his right knee, including one to repair a torn ACL. He plans to play in Saturday's preseason game.
August 10, 2007
Javon Walker has been one of the few healthy receivers in Broncos camp, which is a good sign considering he was still working his way back from ACL surgery at this point last year. "I feel like I'm back to my old self as far as not coming off any injuries, and I'm doing everything I can to show what I can do," Walker tells the Rocky Mountain News. "Last year was a glimpse, but in my head, the people of Denver haven't seen nothing yet."

February 16, 2007
The Broncos have picked up Walker's option bonus, which means he'll be paid $10.7 million this offseason, the Denver Post reports. It also means the Broncos have Walker tied up for five years if they so choose. His initial contract with the team was a make-good deal that was easy for the team to walk away from after one season, but Walker's superb campaign (69 catches, 1,084 yards and eight TDs) made this an easy call for the front office.
