Javon Walker underwent surgery Friday in Houston to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and it appears there were no surprises, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. His recovery could take anywhere from eight to 12 months.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Javon Walker will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ACL in his right knee during yesterday's season opener. Robert Ferguson will move into the starting lineup at split end and Donald Driver replace Walker at flanker.

Javon Walker suffered a right knee injury in the season opener on Sunday and could be out for the season. Head coach Mike Sherman said that the injury was to Walker's ACL. The Green Bay Post-Gazette is already reporting that Walker is expected to miss the rest of the year.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said yesterday that his disgruntled client Javon Walker will not report to training camp unless the Packers give him a substantial raise or trade him, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Rosenhaus told the Associated Press that he made the decision based on the Packers' unwillingness to negotiate a new deal with Walker, who has two years remaining in a contract that will pay him $515,000 this season.
