Javon Walker is expected to play through his shoulder injury this weekend against the Bengals, according to the Broncos website. "I played with it Sunday. If I did it on Sunday I can definitely do it again this week," he said. Walker is listed as probable.

Javon Walker had a monster game against the Steelers Sunday, catching six passes for 134 yards and two scores. But that wasn't all, as he also added a 72-yard TD run in the third quarter. The three TDs doubled his season total, giving him six on the year.

Javon Walker was held out of both practices on Monday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Walker had right knee surgery in October, but coach Mike Shanahan said it was a general "soreness" in the knee or groin that kept Walker out of practice.

The Broncos haven't made a formal announcement yet, but Javon Walker isn't expected to take part in their preseason opener on Friday, according to the Denver Post. Walker, who tore his ACL in Week 1 last year, likely will make his preseason debut with the Broncos on Aug. 19.

Javon Walker and the Broncos reached an agreement in principle Monday on a five-year contract extension that will pay Walker about $40 million, including $15 million in option bonuses in 2007-08, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Walker is expected to sign the deal on Wednesday. It's unclear whether or not he will take part in the Broncos' passing camp that begins next week, as he is still recovering from a torn ACL.

The Packers finally met the trade request Javon Walker made this offseason by dealing him to the Broncos on Saturday, according to the Denver Post. The Broncos gave up their second-round pick (No. 37 overall) to get Walker. If he fully recovers from his torn ACL, he'll pair up with Rod Smith to form a scary wide receiving corps in Denver.

The Dolphins have received permission to construct a contract with Javon Walker for the purpose of working out a trade, according to the Miami Herald. However, the Packers reportedly are further along in negotiations with the Broncos and Saints. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Walker was in New Orleans on Thursday for a physical with the Saints, after which he reportedly traveled to Denver.

The Rocky Mountain News reports that the Broncos have made formal inquiries about Javon Walker. Walker, who publicly has threatened to retire instead of play for the Packers again, is under contract to Green Bay for the 2006 season. He is coming off ACL surgery.

Javon Walker is apparently serious in his demand to be traded from the Packers -- he's hired a real-estate agent and will have his house up for sale by Tuesday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Needless to say, Walker did not report to the team's offseason workout program, which began this week.

Javon Walker has asked the Packers to trade him, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "He has made it perfectly clear that he does not want a new contract from them," Walker's agent Kennard McGuire said. "The mind-set is there really is no future there. This young man only wants peace of mind. He does not feel that he would have peace of mind playing there." Walker is still under contract for next season.
