Josh McCown played poorly for the second game in a row in Week 8. McCown completed just 16-of-33 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. McCown risks losing his job to Kurt Warner if he doesn't play well for quick-hook coach Dennis Green.

As expected, Josh McCown started at quarterback for the Cardinals on Sunday, but he struggled in completing just 12-of-28 passes for 140 yards with a touchdown and an interception. McCown did hook up with Larry Fitzgerald on a 34-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter to put the game away for the Cardinals, but he failed to complete even one pass to Anquan Boldin.

Josh McCown took snaps with the Cardinals' first-team offense during red-zone drills through the first 30 minutes of Thursday's practice, but Cardinals coach Dennis Green still isn't saying if he'll start Sunday's game, according to the Arizona Republic. Kurt Warner is ready to return from his strained groin.

March 30, 2005
The Cardinals re-signed restricted free agent Josh McCown to a one-year tender offer Wednesday, according to the Sports Network. McCown started 13 of the 14 games in which he played last season, completing 233 of his 408 pass attempts for 2,511 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He'll have to battle Kurt Warner for the starting job in training camp this summer.
March 8, 2005
Josh McCown has been assured that newly-signed Kurt Warner won't be handed the starting quarterback job in Arizona, according to the Arizona Republic. "It's all I can ask for in this league," McCown said. "I think that's all Kurt was asking for, too. We're good friends and there'll be no animosity."
