Ronald Curry was held out of practice yesterday to rest up, according to the Contra Costa Times. However, coach Art Shell said Curry was just sore and is expected to play on Saturday.

Ronald Curry caught nine passes for 87 yards on Sunday. Curry now has 17 catches for 186 yards in the last two games.

Ronald Curry will start for the Raiders next week if Randy Moss is unable to go, the AP reports. Curry came through with a snappy 99-yard game at Cincinnati, with a touchdown, while Moss was out of the game before halftime. The Raiders play St. Louis this week.

Ronald Curry, who has torn his Achilles' tendon each of the last two seasons, practiced for the first time on Tuesday, according to the Oakland Tribune. "It's finally here," said Curry. "I have to catch up because we've got guys out here who are having good camps. I have a big obstacle to overcome just to get on the field, and I'm up for the challenge."
