Jesse Chatman has inked a deal with the Jets, according to the Miami Herald. It is a one-year deal and will keep him in the AFC East where he performed well at times for the Dolphins following Ronnie Brown's season ending injury last season.

Jesse Chatman will visit the New York Jets this week, according to FOX Sports. After being out of football for almost two seasons, Chatman resurrected his career last year - starting six games for Miami, while rushing for 515 yards and one touchdown. The Jets already have two solid running backs (Thomas Jones and Leon Washington) on the roster, but Chatman can also play special teams. Meanwhile, if Chatman were to leave Miami, it could pave the way for running back Ricky Williams to serve as the main backup to Ronnie Brown in 2008.

Jesse Chatman is active for the Dolphins' Week 16 matchup with the Patriots. Chatman is battling an ankle injury that has kept him out for two games and limited him in practice throughout the week. Given his iffy health, he will probably share carries with Samkon Gado, meaning he's not a top-notch fantasy option against a solid Patriots defense.

Jesse Chatman got in some limited work with the first unit in practice on Friday. "It is the best that the ankle has felt since I injured it," Chatman said, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Chatman hopes to start against the Patriots, but he may end up a game-time call. It'll be a tough matchup, though, if he is active.

Jesse Chatman has been doing some work with the Miami starters in practice this week, though he's still listed as "limited" on the official practice report. He's dealing with an ankle injury. Hopefully your Week 16 plans aren't reliant on too many Miami players, as they make a trip to New England Sunday.
