Eric Parker learned on Tuesday that he still needs more time to allow his foot to heal. Parker underwent surgery on August 3 to repair a cracked sesamoid bone near his right big toe. The team did not provide specifics on how much more time Parker might need, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The Chargers continue to be without the services of Eric Parker, and head coach Norv Turner says he is still three or four weeks away from returning. "It's a matter of him being able to run full speed straight-ahead, then run routes and then go back into practice," Turner tells the North County Times. Parker underwent surgery on August 3 to repair a cracked sesamoid bone near his right big toe.

Chargers wide receiver Eric Parker will not play in week two due to a toe injury, according to ESPN.

Eric Parker has made a quick recovery from Aug. 3 toe surgery. He was able to practice Friday and will be available for Sunday's season opener, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. However, with so many receiving weapons ahead of him, he shouldn't be in fantasy lineups this week.

He underwent surgery on August 3 to repair a cracked sesamoid bone near his right big toe and was slated to miss the first six games of the season. Parker is currently walking without crutches. "I would think I would be back sooner," he tells the San Diego Union-Tribune.
