Player Notes
December 17, 2005
Larry Johnson rushed for 167 yards on 31 carries and had two touchdowns on Saturday against the Giants. He set a new Chiefs record with his seventh straight 100-yard game.
November 20, 2005
Larry Johnson rushed for a career-high 211 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries on Sunday night. While his owners probably won't complain, this overuse of Johnson was pretty short-sited. The Chiefs were never seriously threatened in this game, and it was simply foolish to give Johnson 13 carries in the final quarter.
November 9, 2005
Larry Johnson will be the starting running back for the Chiefs for the remainder of the season now that Priest Holmes has been placed on injured reserve. Johnson should be considered an elite fantasy option nearly on par with Shaun Alexander and LaDainian Tomlinson.
November 6, 2005
Starting in place of the injured Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries on Sunday. Johnson also had 48 yards on three receptions.
November 5, 2005
With Priest Holmes being downgraded to doubtful, Larry Johnson will get the start at tailback for Kansas City on Friday. The Chiefs are holding out hope that Holmes might be able to play as Johnson's backup, but Johnson should be a solid fantasy option.
September 11, 2005
As planned Larry Johnson got about 1/2 as many carries as Priest Holmes on Sunday. Johnson made the most of his nine carries, as he rushed for 110 yards and scored two touchdowns.
