Player Notes
June 23, 2008
Jason Witten is expected to see time at wide receiver if Terry Glenn does not make it back on to the field this season, according to the Star-Telegram.
October 8, 2007
Tight end Jason Witten turned in another fine evening against the Bills on Monday night, catching nine balls for 103 yards and a 22-yard touchdown. Witten has now brought in 40 receptions in his five games for four touchdowns.
May 25, 2007
Jason Witten scored only one touchdown in 2006. He expects to better than total in 2007. "I can do more in the red zone. With the new offense, there is going to be more of an emphasis for that," Witten tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Bill (Parcells) liked to run in the red area because it's fewer chances to turn the ball over. We will be in more of an attack mode."

Jason Witten was named to his third Pro Bowl roster Friday, taking the place of New York's Jeremy Shockey. Although Witten certainly didn't have a bad season (64 catches, 754 yards), he scored just once, and it was the second straight year his stats dipped.
October 24, 2006
Jason Witten had 72 yards, his best output of the year, in Monday's loss to the Giants. All of Witten's four catches came when Tony Romo was playing in the second half; it's very likely that Witten will be used more as a pass-catcher when Romo plays because the Cowboys don't need Witten's blocking as much when a mobile quarterback is in the pocket.
