The Bucs signed B.J. Askew on Sunday, according to the AP. He'll compete with Mike Alstott for playing time. Askew was used primarily as a lead blocker in his four years with the Jets.

December 1, 2006
B.J. Askew was limited in practice Thursday, though he's expected to play Sunday against the Packers, the New York Daily News reports. Askew is dealing with a foot injury.

November 21, 2006
B.J. Askew did not play on Sunday because of a foot injury, according to Newsday. A person familiar with the situation said he will continue to work through his foot injury on a week-by-week basis.

B.J. Askew didn't do much in Thursday's practice and remains questionable for Sunday's game with Miami. He's battling a sore foot.
