The Raiders placed running back Justin Fargas (knee) and quarterback Daunte Culpepper (quad) on injured reserve on Wednesday. Both players will be eligible for free agency this offseason.

Raiders running back Justin Fargas has a sprained MCL and will be shut down for the remainder of the season according to the Associated Press. Fargas sprained the knee on Sunday during the Raiders loss to the Colts. Dominic Rhodes and LaMont Jordan will start the remainder of the season in the backfield, although it is not clear at this point which one will get the bulk of the load.

Justin Fargas could be done for the season. He sprained the MCL in his right knee during Sunday's game, according to the Contra Costa Times. He'll undergo an MRI Monday to determine the severity of the injury, but with just two weeks left, the 1,000-yard rusher may not make it back on the field.

Justin Fargas had to leave Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee injury. We should know more about the severity of the malady by Monday. Before exiting the game, Fargas ran for 89 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, which put him over the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.

Justin Fargas left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a bruised rib, according to the AP. It's not clear how severe the injury is, but the Raiders could have just been playing it safe with Fargas since they were being blow out by Green Bay.

With LaMont Jordan struggling, Justin Fargas got most of the work for the Raiders in the second half Sunday. He rushed for 61 yards on 12 carries and added 36 receiving yards on three catches.

Justin Fargas took over for an injured LaMont Jordan Sunday and had himself quite a day. Fargas carried the ball 22 times for a career-high 179 yards. It is the first 100-yard game of Fargas' career and is even more impressive when you consider he had just seven yards in the first half.
