Justin Gage was back in the starting lineup for the Bears in Week 9 following Mark Bradley's season-ending injury. Gage caught four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Justin Gage has lost his job as the Bears' No. 2 receiver to rookie Mark Bradley, according to the Chicago Tribune. Though Justin Gage was demoted, the Bears praised his blocking. Gage caught two passes for 31 yards through the first three games.

Although Bears coach Lovie Smith didn't admit it, Justin Gage appears to have been removed from his role as the team's No. 2 receiver, according to the Chicago Tribune. Gage started Sunday but was replaced early by rookie Mark Bradley. And Bernard Berrian, not Gage, was on the field when the Bears used three wideouts.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Justin Gage is currently slated to start opposite Muhsin Muhammad this season. Gage was considered a sleeper going into 2004 but rarely saw the field in former coordinator Terry Shea's offense.
