With the Raiders reportedly working on a deal to add all-pro CB DeAngelo Hall to the roster, the discussion may turn to the effects on young stud CB Nnamdi Asomugha, according to ProFootballTalk.com. For Hall to come to Oakland, the team will have to agree to a long-term, high dollar contract (rumored to be in the neighborhood of $10 mil). On the other hand, the Raiders designated Asomugha, viewed by many as one of few corners in the NFL worthy of discussion as the top player at the position, as their exclusive franchise tag player. Because of that decision, Asomugha will be paid the average of the top five contracts in the NFL at the position... and now the Raiders are looking to add one of those huge contracts to the equation. As a result, many are watching to see if the Hall signing comes to fruition, for the Raiders may, in essence, be forced to revoked that tag as they will no longer be able to afford both players. If that happens, the young CB becomes an unrestricted free agent and it will be free-agent bedlam as teams line up to throw offers at Nnamdi Asomugha. Stay tuned.
