The Dolphins signed receiver David Kircus on Friday, according to ESPN. Kircus, who was a free agent but had not qualified as an unrestricted one, is just one of the seven free agent signings by Miami this offseason. The ex-Bronco is expected to contribute in a receiving role and as a key special teamer in 2008, but won't have any traditional fantasy value.

David Kircus is facing a second-degree assault charge after an altercation at a party in suburban Denver early Sunday, the AP reports. Prosecutors added a second count, violent crime, as a sentence enhancer that could lead to a stiffer penalty if he is convicted. A sheriff's report made public Friday said Kircus had been asked to leave the party, and the alleged victim had escorted him to the sidewalk. The report said Kircus pointed out they were no longer on private property and hit the other man in the eye, causing multiple fractures. "You don't know what I'm capable of," Kircus told the man, according to the report.
