Arnaz Battle (ankle) had a limited practice on Thursday and is no sure thing to play against the Buccaneers. He's had a respectable year for the Niners, rolling up 47-581-5 numbers through 14 games, but most fantasy owners in the playoffs should have better receiving options.

49ers wideout Arnaz Battle is active, but the Dan Francisco Chronicle is reporting he will not play. He suffered an ankle injury last Sunday. Battle owners should not be using him this week. The fact he is active indicates he may see some snaps, but this is situation is too up in the air to risk a starting spot on him.

49ers receiver Arnaz Battle suffered a sprained ankle in Week 13’s game with the Panthers and head coach Mike Nolan classified him to the San Francisco Chronicle as questionable for this Sunday. Losing Battle would be a big blow to the anemic 49ers offense, but it could result in more looks for tight end Vernon Davis.

Arnaz Battle has been working with the first-team offense opposite No. 1 receiver Darrell Jackson, according to the Oakland Tribune. The contenders for the No. 3 job are Ashley Lelie, Taylor Jacobs, Bryan Gilmore, Jason Hill, and Brandon Williams.

Arnaz Battle had surgery to remove the screws and some scar tissue in his left hand, the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports. He should be ready to go for the team's first minicamp, which is scheduled for the weekend after the draft.
