Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell will miss the remainder of the season due to an Achilles injury suffered in week one, according to the team’s official website.

Yeremiah Bell suffered an Achilles injury on Sunday. It appears he could miss the remainder of the season, but more will be known after he has an MRI on Monday, according to the Miami Herald. If Bell is out for the long haul, the Dolphins might have to move Jason Allen from cornerback to his old safety spot.

The Dolphins re-signed Yeremiah Bell to a one-year deal Monday. Financial terms weren't disclosed, according to SportsTicker. Bell was a pleasant surprise for the Dolphins last year, registering 65 tackles, two sacks and a team-high 12 passes defensed.
