Lions receiver Mike Furrey will not be traded, and neither will Shaun McDonald, two holdovers from the Mike Martz offensive regime, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Mike Furrey will start in place of Calvin Johnson when the Lions face the Bears on Sunday. Furrey is listed as the No. 2 receiver, leaving Shaun McDonald to play the slot.

Mike Furrey will start opposite Roy Williams on Sunday against the Raiders, according to NFL Network. There had been speculation that Shaun McDonald would get the start following his impressive preseason performance.

The Lions have reached a three-year deal with Mike Furrey, according to Sports Network. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Furrey led the NFC with 98 receptions in 2006.

Mike Furrey said he was "a little bit" disappointed that the Lions haven't contacted him regarding a contract proposal for next season, according to the Detroit Free Press. "Hopefully I'll be here for a while," Furrey said. "I love this town." Furrey caught 77 passes for 877 yards and four touchdowns in 2006.
