As expected, the Bears placed Tommie Harris on injured reserve yesterday, according to the Sun-Times. He underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a severely torn left hamstring tendon.

Tommie Harris will undergo surgery Thursday to repair a severely torn left hamstring and be sidelined for the rest of the regular season and playoffs, according to the Chicago Tribune. It's also not a given that Harris will be ready in time for training camp next year.

Tommie Harris could be sidelined for the season after all, but not because of the knee injury he suffered Sunday, according to the Bears' official site. Harris also pulled a hamstring on the same play, and it is that injury that could force him to miss the rest of the season. "He has a significant pull," said coach Lovie Smith. "It could possibly be (season-ending). Normally we don't put a player out this early. That shows you how severe we think the injury is."

An MRI on Tommie Harris' knee revealed a sprain, and Harris will be forced to sit out at least one game, but the injury is not season-ending, according to the Chicago Tribune. "This isn't a season-ending injury by any means," said coach Lovie Smith. "We don't know exactly how long he'll be out, but he has got a sprained knee."

Tommie Harris left Sunday's game with a leg injury. "I don't know what happened," he said. "It felt like I was doing the splits. That's all I remember." He's slated to have an MRI on his left knee today, but the injury isn't believe to be season-ending, according to the Sun-Times.

Tommie Harris was held out of Thursday's practice with a sore knee but is still expected to play against Minnesota, the Chicago Tribune reports. Harris is listed as probable.
