Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach and Bills quarterbacks coach Sam Wyche thinks J.P. While the Bills had voiced support for QB J.P. So far, there’s a serious lack of suitors that have come knocking on the Buffalo Bills' door inquiring about acquiring disgruntled quarterback J.P. Losman, according to Pro Football Weekly. Losman has asked for a trade following his demotion behind starter Trent Edwards, a request that the Bills would be happy to oblige should a reasonable offer come their way. The Bills continue to harbor the belief that they’ll work out a deal for the quarterback, though it’s unlikely there will be any action until after the NFL draft.

J.P. Losman is attending the Buffalo Bills offseason program, according to BuffaloBills.com. The trade rumors have died down, but with the NFL draft on the horizon anything is possible.

The Minnesota Vikings’ best bet for a backup quarterback is J.P. Losman, according to FanNation. The Bills coaching staff recently professed their “love” for Losman, who is in the final year of a $1.9 million contract, but would likely trade him for a 2008 fourth-round pick. And Minnesota, who only has Brooks Bollinger in reserve, has a need to upgrade the position.

The Buffalo Bills still value quarterback J.P. Losman, partly because starting quarterbacks rarely make it through 16 games in the NFL, according to buffalobills.com. New quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt likes what he currently has in reserve at the position. "I'm excited to have him," Van Pelt said. "I've always liked J.P. Physically he's one of the most gifted guys I've been around. He just does some great things athletically with his arm and legs." Only 10 signal callers started all 16 regular season games in 2007, so it’s imperative to roster two solid quarterbacks these days. Regardless, Losman, who is in the final year of his contract, could still be moved prior to or during the NFL draft.

Rumors continue to make the rounds at the scouting combine, with one of the latest being the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs having interest in Buffalo Bills backup QB J.P. Losman, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Losman, who lost his starting job last year to rookie Trent Edwards, is in the final year of his rookie contract, and reportedly wants to leave Buffalo. Both Miami and Kansas City have question marks at the quarterback position, but we’re unsure if Losman would be the answer to the puzzle in either city. Losman, who does have solid athletic ability, has completed 59.1% of his pass attempts for 5,627 yards with 31 TDs against 29 INTs, for a 77.3 QB Rating during his four-year career

Though the team appears committed to Trent Edwards at QB, the decision on what to do with J.P. Losman is still being determined according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. Losman has stated that he does not want to be Edwards backup this season, but after failing to impress last season, Losman's trade value is extremely low. The team could keep the unhappy Losman or it could chose to release him and cut their loses.
