Jerricho Cotchery wasn't hampered by his finger injury Sunday, catching six balls for 119 yards. He had been listed as doubtful leading up to the game.

Jerricho Cotchery is active for Sunday's game despite being listed as doubtful on the team's injury report with a finger ailment. Cotchery has a wonderful matchup with the Browns, but our expectations are tempered by his injury problem and the fact the Jets passing game isn't exactly a juggernaut.

Jerricho Cotchery was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Cotchery has been nursing an injured and surgically repaired right index finger, which caused him to miss last week’s game.

Jets receiver Jerricho Cotchery has been listed as out for Sunday’s tilt against the winless Miami Dolphins due to an injured right index finger. Cotchery injured the finger during practice on Monday, and has not returned to the practice field since.

Jerricho Cotchery missed his second straight day of practice Thursday as he deals with a finger injury. Cotchery hasn't done a lot in the last two weeks anwyay, with just three catches. He apparently suffered the hand injury in Monday's practice.

Jerricho Cotchery was held out of practice on Wednesday because of a finger injury, reports Newsday. This is the first we’ve heard of the malady, and the Jets did not shed any light on Jerricho’s status. We’ll continue to monitor the situation as the weekend approaches.

Jerricho Cotchery is officially listed as active for Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins. Cotchery missed portions of practice all week with a mysterious shoulder injury. He's coming off a career day last week against the stingy Ravens and is worth starting in Week 3 if you normally would.

Jets receiver Jerricho Cotchery was limited in practice Wednesday because of a shoulder injury. The injury isn’t believed to be serious, but we’ll keep a close on the Cotch Rocket over the next two days to make sure all is well. He had seven catches for 165 yards against the Ravens last week.

Jerricho Cotchery signed a contract extension with the Jets on Thursday, according to the AP. Terms were not released. "Jerricho Cotchery is the type of player we are looking for here," general manager Mike Tannenbaum said in a statement. "He earned a starting role this year and showed the productivity and consistency we want at that position." Cotchery had a breakout season in 2006, catching 82 passes for 961 yards and six touchdowns.

The Jets still are expected to lock up Jerricho Cotchery to a long-term contract this offseason, according to the New York Post. GM Mike Tannenbaum said that working out a deal "is a priority."
