The Jets are expected to work out a new contract with Jerricho Cotchery during the offseason, according to the New York Daily News. He's signed through 2007 but will only make $460,000 next year. He's had a fine season thus far, catching 41 balls for 531 yards and four touchdowns.

In his first game as a starter after beating out Justin McCareins in the preseason, Jerricho Cotchery caught six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Cotchery had a second score wiped out by a penalty.

Third-year receiver Jerricho Cotchery has passed Justin McCareins on the Jets' depth chart to move into the starting lineup, according to the Star-Ledger. Cotchery caught 19 passes for 251 yards last season while working as the No. 3 or 4 receiver.
