Vikings coach Brad Childress said yesterday that he expects Mewelde Moore to be ready to play in Monday's season opener, according to the Star-Tribune. He's dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of the final three exhibition games.

Mewelde Moore is confident he'll be able to dress Monday at Washington, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Moore is battling a sore knee and didn't play in the final three preseason games. If Moore is in uniform, he's expected to be the primary punt returner in addition to the change-of-pace running back.
