If all goes according to plan, safety Michael Boulware won’t be a regular on defense for the Minnesota Vikings, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The Vikings are counting on Boulware to make a significant contribution on special teams, because he was one of only 13 players to be on the field for at least 80 percent of his team's special team plays last year in Houston.

The Minnesota Vikings and safety Michael Boulware have agreed to terms on a one-year deal, according to Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "This team has a lot of potential and is headed in the right direction," Boulware said. "So I'm definitely happy to be a part of it." Boulware, who spent last season in Houston, will provide Minnesota with depth at the safety position behind Madieu Williams and Darren Sharper.

Free-agent safety Michael Boulware is expected to visit with the Minnesota Vikings this week, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Boulware played in 16 games (no starts) for Houston last year after spending his first three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The Vikings recently signed Madieu Williams, who will start opposite Darren Sharper. If signed, Boulware would provide depth at the safety position.
