Drew Carter made up for the absence of Steve Smith Sunday with a huge day, as he hauled in five passes for 132 yards and a TD. Carter had one huge game last year, as well (eight catches, 144 yards and a TD in Week 14), but these games are few and far between for the former Ohio State Buckeye.

Drew Carter did not take the bulk of the starter’s reps on Wednesday, according to the Charlotte Observer. Rather, Keary Colbert lined up as the No. 2 receiver the majority of the time.
