Niners coach Mike Nolan reassured Alex Smith this week that the young quarterback will keep on starting, according to the Contra Costa Times. "To me, one of the big things for him is knowing that his coaches are behind him all the way and have all the confidence in the world in him," Nolan said Wednesday. "Nothing's changed in what we think, and it won't change."
