Ronnie Brown rushed for 115 yards on 21 carries in the season finale to scrape out a 1,000-yard season. It remains to be seen if Ricky Williams will return to the Dolphins to share time with Brown next season.

Even though Ronnie Brown is set to return from his broken hand on Monday, Sammy Morris will start, and it's unclear how the two running backs will split carries, according to the Miami Herald. "There's been no decision made yet about how we'll use him," coach Nick Saban said. "We're still viewing Sammy as the guy who will be out there starting, and decide how much we use Ronnie relative to how he finishes the week."

Ronnie Brown was able to practice Thursday and felt good about his session, the Palm Beach Post reports. He's coming back from a broken hand suffered on Thanksgiving Day. Brown wore a pad on the top of the hand and underneath his glove at Thursday's session and said it didn't restrict his ability to catch the ball. Although Nick Saban hasn't said anything definite about his stating plans, Brown said he expects Sammy Morris to start against the Jets Monday.

"[The doctor] said it's healing up fine. There's still going to be some risk if I go out there. But it's nothing too major." Coach Nick Saban will likely make the final call after he sees Brown practice.

Brown is left-handed, so if he were to play with a cast it could affect his ability to hold onto the ball, as well as catch passes. Sammy Morris likely will start at running back if Brown is out.

Brown says his groin injury feels just as good as it did at this time last week before the Kansas City game, which we suppose is an encouraging sign. Even if Brown starts, Nick Saban said Sammy Morris and Travis Minor may play an increased role in the offense.

We'll have a better sense of where Brown is after the Friday workout. Healthy or not, he'll get a good test from Minnesota's excellent rushing defense, which is giving out 2.9 yards a carry. Sammy Morris will pick up extra snaps if Brown winds up being limited or scratched.
