Whether Braylon Edwards will return to the starting lineup tomorrow remains uncertain, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He was benched for 1 1/2 quarters of Week 16's contest for being late to a team meeting. "I've said that we'll see how the week goes," Crennel said. "He's been working and I haven't made a decision yet. He'll be at the game."

Braylon Edwards stated Monday that his sideline rant on Sunday was his response to his feeling that some of his teammates weren't showing enough effort or passion for the game, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "If you're losing close games and you feel like you're giving everything, that's one thing," Edwards said. "But when you're just flat out not playing, that's another. That's something that a lot of guys around here don't like. But not every guy feels that way." Edwards caught just two passes for 29 yards in the game. Coach Romeo Crennel said he would keep any disciplinary action in-house.

Braylon Edwards could very well be good to go for the season opener on September 10, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Edwards said that his knee is feeling good and he may get in for a couple of plays during the Browns third preseason game. Even if he doesn't, Edwards is almost a lock to play in the final preseason game, which makes it a very good possibility that he will be on the field during Week 1.
