Troy Williamson received good news when he visited a specialist earlier this week. Head coach Brad Childress told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that Williamson was cleared to return to practice after missing time with a concussion.

The Vikings have reversed their decision not to give wide receiver Troy Williamson his $25,000 paycheck from last week’s game—a game he missed while in South Carolina for the funeral of his grandmother, the person who raised him. "I think the important thing is everybody grieves differently," head coach Brad Childress told the Associated Press. "That's the thing that I learned, or we learned, in this. In the end, it's not important to be right, but to get it right."

Troy Williamson has been doing special vision testing with Nike in the off-season, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Williamson had a whopping 11 drops in limited action last season, third most in the league. Among the things Williamson recently had tested: his hand-eye coordination, whether one eye is stronger than the other, how well he sees things in different lighting, and how he tracks balls coming at him from a variety of angles.
