Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that the knee injury sustained by projected starter Vernand Morency was worse than the team's medical staff originally thought, and that he now expects Morency to be out "a couple" of weeks, according to the AP. With Ahman Green signing with the Texans, Vernand Morency is now on top of the running back depth chart in Green Bay. Morency ran well with his limited workload last year, rushing for 434 yards on 96 carries (4.5 YPC), but given his inexperience, the Packers will surely bring in another running back or two via the draft or free agency.
