Fabian Washington has learned that he will avoid prosecution for his February arrest on a domestic battery charge as long as he completes a program for first-time offenders, according to the Contra Costa Times. Washington, 24, was originally arrested at his home in Florida, after the responding police officer noticed a red mark on the neck of Washington's 21-year-old live-in girlfriend.

The Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns have exchanged e-mails about a possible trade for cornerback Fabian Washington, but it doesn't sound as if a deal is in the works, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Browns were told that Oakland has an offer of a second-round pick on the table for the former No. 1 draft pick. The Browns do not have a pick available higher than the fourth round and aren’t even sure they would give that up for Washington.

The Oakland Raiders are attempting to trade cornerback Fabian Washington, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Washington, who was a first-round draft pick in 2005, lost his starting job last year, and was arrested for domestic battery in February. Washington has started 28 games during his three-year career – compiling five interceptions and 24 defensed passes.
