Bears' GM Jerry Angelo stated that he wants to upgrade at quarterback, which may not bode well for Kyle Orton, according to the Chicago Tribune. Angelo said, "I know that there's going to be a lot of talk about our No. 1 receiver but guys, it starts with the quarterback. We have to get the quarterback position stabilized. And we're fixated on that."

Kyle Orton may have been anointed as the Bears' starting quarterback for 2009, but that doesn't mean GM Jerry Angelo is any less uneasy about Orton's inconsistency under center, the Chicago Tribune reports. When asked if the decision to go with Orton next year means the franchise has rallied behind the quarterback for the long haul, Angelo said, "I'm not convinced 100 percent obviously. I believe in Kyle. But until Kyle puts a good year together, we cant say for sure."
