It is unlikely that the Dallas Cowboys will have a contract extension in place with running back Marion Barber prior to the NFL draft, according to the Dallas Morning News. "That's not in any way to diminish how important our talks with Barber are. Let me be real clear about that," owner Jerry Jones said. "It's just that, first of all, nothing is going to happen between today and the draft anyway. I'm going to assume, just as we have both in the long term and the short term, that we'll get something worked out with Marion." Jones also made sure to note that he'd be fine without getting a high-round back, and having to put a heavier load on Barber.
