Marion Barber had been outplaying Julius Jones recently, but he wasn't given much of a chance Sunday, ending up with negative yardage on two carries. Barber had scored two TDs in three straight games before Sunday.

Coach Bill Parcells said that Marion Barber will remain the No. 2 option in the Cowboys backfield behind Julius Jones, despite the fact that Barber has outplayed Jones lately, according to the Star-Telegram. Barber has carried the ball 28 times to Jones' 22 times over the past two games. "He is aggressive with the ball," Parcells said of Barber. "He has a good nose for the goal line. He is making a difference for us."

Marion Barber was the busiest man in the Cowboys backfield Thursday, carrying the ball 16 times for 83 yards. Barber also had a pair of short TD receptions, while Julius Jones was limited to 11 carries for 40 yards. Barber now has 11 touchdowns on the year, and he's found the end zone in every Dallas win this season.

Coach Bill Parcells said he may start giving Marion Barber a few more carries, according to the team's official site. Barber had season highs with 10 carries and 57 yards Sunday while also scoring a TD for the fourth straight game. It's hard to imagine Parcells taking much work away Julius Jones, though, as Jones has three straight 100-yard games.

Coach Bill Parcells said that he would like to get Marion Barber eight or nine carries a game, though Barber has just 11 carries through the first two games of the season, according to the Dallas Morning News. Julius Jones has been carrying the brunt of the load with 37 carries, but Barber has been used near the goal line.

Marion Barber got three consecutive goal-line carries for the Cowboys on Sunday night, finally converting with the touchdown on a 4th-and-goal from the one. Barber carried eight times for 39 yards in the game.
