The broken leg that Darren Sproles sustained during Saturday's preseason game will cost him the entire regular season, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He underwent surgery Monday and was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Michael Turner will get the first shot at returning kickoffs and Eric Parker probably will return punts in place of Sproles.
