He is still recovering from his left knee injury and coach Jeff Fisher said, "I havent had a chance to talk to him specifically about the experience. The coaches thought it was good. He was really into it. He could see Kerry make the decisions. Itd probably be a good idea now to get him down on the sideline and let him take that information that he got yesterday and see it from the sideline perspective."

The Nashville City Paper reports that Titans Coach Jeff Fisher told police the Vince Young's therapist said Young "mentioned suicide several times." The report from Central Precinct Lt. Andrea Swisher states Titans' head of security Steve Burke notified police that he had "a player over at the stadium going off..Sgt. Windus later advised me that it was Vince Young and that he was driving a black Mercedes and armed with a gun," Swishers report states. Swisher states she went to the stadium where officers had already made contact with Fisher. Fisher told Swisher he had gotten a call from Youngs therapist, Sheila Peters, and "she was worried about him."

Coach Jeff Fisher indicated that Vince Young will have to work and show he has made progress before resuming his role as a starter, and Fisher added that can take some time, according to the Tennessean. Fisher said, "He has some work to do. Obviously he has some work to do. He has to put some things back in perspective, and first and foremost he has to get healthy." His sprained MCL could keep him out 2-4 weeks, possibly longer.

The Titans may be ready to move forward without quarterback Vince Young. The Tennessean reports that there are indications that Kerry Collins might hold the job even when Young is healthy. Of course, reports also suggest Young may not even want to return to football. "He may not want to deal with it (all), but you have to get to that point before you make that decision first," Felecia Young, his mother, says. "But were not talking about football right now. Were talking about what would make him happy, and that is the most important thing."

The Tennessean reports that the Titans feared for Vince Young's safety. Metro Police issued a bulletin for officers to be on the lookout for Young on Monday night after coach Jeff Fisher expressed concern about his emotional well being. According to Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron, Fisher had been alerted after a friend of Youngs contacted the coach around 7 p.m. Monday night. Young eventually made contact with Fisher, and the two met around midnight with Metro police officials at Baptist Sports Park. Aaron said, "Once he came to Baptist Sports Park and was assessed, it appeared the concerns from earlier in the night were unfounded." Young had a handgun in the glove compartment of his vehicle, but it was not loaded and Aaron said officers had no concerns about Young trying to harm himself. Coach Fisher was not available for comment on Tuesday but the team stated, "Last night, we received a call from people that are closest to Vince informing us that he had left his house in a state of mind that had them concerned; and that he was unreachable, having left his cell phone at the house. Not having all the facts available to us and approaching the matter prudently, we contacted Metro Police to make them aware of the situation and asked for their assistance in locating Vince. He was located at a friends house, where we made contact with him. He then came to the practice facility where it was determined that those initial concerns by his friends and family were unfounded and he returned home without incident."

The Titans are being quiet regarding Vince Young's hand injury, according to ESPN. Young bruised his throwing hand in the first half of Thursday night's 23-21 preseason finale win over the Packers, and he didn't return for the first series of the third quarter as originally intended. When asked if the Titans planned to X-ray or run other exams on Young's right hand, coach Jeff Fisher replied only that Young was doing well. Fisher added, "We'll have a full injury report for you next Friday. He'll be designated as whether he practiced or did not practice. At this point, I would expect he would practice."

Vince Young said there is still a little hole in the quadriceps muscle he injured last season, during an interview with John Clayton of ESPN. Young stated, "My quad, man, it was bad. Every week you get it better, then you go out and play and hurt it again. The quad would get weak. I was taking those pills for the pain. I was running around trying to make plays when it's not there. The quad is definitely back where it needs to be although I still have a little hole in there."

Third-year quarterback Vince Young is on the hot seat this year, and will be learning a new offense for the third time in four seasons. The offensive rookie of the year in 2006 struggled in his second season throwing nine touchdown passes and 17 interceptions. Tennessee has a new offensive coordinator and new additions on both sides of the ball so expecting a repeat of a surprising 2007 campaign is optimistic at best.

The Titans expect their offensive leader, QB Vince Young , to report to offseason workouts on Thursday, according to The Tennessean. Young has been spending time at the University of Texas, his alma mater, working on his education in an attempt to earn his degree. Meanwhile, the young and inexperienced receiving corps for the Titans are in Tennessee, are working hard, and are hoping to get their first shot on the field with Young later this week. For a group this young (not to mention an offensive line that may need to consider the effects of the loss of offensive lineman Benji Olson, having retired this year), it is important to get this early work going to develop chemistry and communication. Getting Young on the field will get that process moving forward.

Quarterback Vince Young's biggest progress so far under new Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger has to do with footwork, according to the Tennessean. "That's where the focus was, and Mike was very pleased, as was Vince, as to what was taking place on a daily basis," head coach Jeff Fisher said. "I think he's made significant strides to this point with his footwork.'' Young is expected to come to Nashville three or four days some weeks while continuing to take classes at the University of Texas. "I'm pleased,'' Fisher said. "There was some speculation that because Vince elected to go back to school that he wasn't going to be around in the offseason. Well, that's not the case. We're still getting him three days a week, he's not missing any (organized team activities), school's going to be done the first of May, and that's when we really start everything up in the first place.'' Good news for potential Young owners, that the third-year player is also concentrating on football, while finishing up the work on his college degree.

The Titans will have pick No. 134 overall in the draft as their compensatory selection, bringing their total number of picks in the draft to seven.

Vince Young met with new offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger for the first time on Friday, accoring to Fan Nation. They will spend this week discussing the offense and analyzing the changes. Heimerdinger has to be seen as an upgrade over Norm Chow. Hopefully the Titans offense will show a pulse this season.

Vince Young has been doing his homework on new Tennessee OC Mike Heimerdinger, according to the Tennessean.com. Young, who threw twice as many interceptions as touchdown passes last season, recently spoke to QB Steve McNair, who gave Heimerdinger a ringing endorsement. "Steve says he is cool. He treats you like a grown man. He is one of the coaches who makes you as good as you can be,'' Young said. "He might say some things when he's mad, but he really doesn't mean them. ... You are going to have some ups and downs, but at the same time as long as you are getting better that is all that matters to him. Tennessee finished towards the bottom of the league in all of the important passing categories last season, so Heimerdinger and his tough love approach could be just what the doctor ordered for Young, who regressed last season.

Vince Young, who suffered a right quadriceps injury last week, is listed as day-to-day, according to SportsTicker. "He was very excited about his play in the game and the win and his opportunity to play in a playoff game," Fisher said. "We haven't ruled him out. It will be a day-to-day thing." Young has already said he didn't think the injury would prevent him from playing this weekend, so we'd be surprised if he didn't suit up.
