The Cardinals placed Matt Leinart on IR Tuesday, officially ending his season, according to the Arizona Republic. The quarterback suffered a fractured collarbone in Sunday's victory over the Rams. This means Kurt Warner will officially step in as the starter, and the team signed Tim Rattay to a one-year contract to serve as his backup. Assuming the Cardinals offensive line can keep Warner from getting too beat up, he should be a solid fantasy starter the rest of the way.

Matt Leinart has been diagnosed with a fractured collarbone, and injury sustained during Sunday's game. He's expected to miss at least several weeks, if not the rest of the season, according to the Arizona Republic. Kurt Warner will be behind center until Leinart is available again, though you have to wonder how long the frail veteran will be able to stay healthy.

Quarterback Matt Leinart left today’s game with a left collarbone injury. His return status is unknown, and Kurt Warner has entered the game.

The Cardinals will continue to use Matt Leinart as their starting quarterback. Ken Whisenhunt made the announcement during his Monday press conference, according to the Arizona Republic. Kurt Warner replaced Leinart during part of the second half Sunday and finished with 258 yards. "It wasn't a situation where Matt didn't play well," Whisenhunt told the press. "Matt has worked hard and done what we asked him to do. He's improving as a quarterback, so he is our starter, like we said yesterday after the game." As long as Warner remains a threat to come in during the game, Leinart's fantasy value will fall dramatically.

Kurt Warner replaced Matt Leinart at quarterback for the Cardinals in the second quarter of today's game against the Ravens. Leinart was 2 of 6 for 10 yards.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt will play his starters well into the second quarter during Saturday’s preseason tilt against the Texans, according to the Arizona Republic. The Cardinals first-team offense looked a bit shaky in the opening preseason game, but we expect a much better performance against the Texans defense.

Matt Leinart should be recovered enough from last year's shoulder injury to take part in mini-camp this month, according to the East Valley Tribune. However, the Cards will monitor his progress before making a final decision.
