Adrian Peterson has won the 50th annual Bert Bell award as football player of the year, according to the Pioneer Press. Peterson said, "It's an honor to be listed among such great players from past years and humbling at the same time. I thank the Maxwell Club and the people who voted for me, but I really want to thank the big boys up front and the receivers out wide fighting for every block. I'm lucky to be surrounded by a group of guys who are the best teammates in the league." Bert Bell is a former NFL Commissioner.
