With Julius Jones out, Tyson Thompson saw only three carries on Sunday because of a mistake-filled practice Saturday, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "On Saturday, out of 12 plays he made three mental errors," Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said. "Anthony Thomas didn't have any mental errors in the game. Neither did [Marion] Barber."

With Julius Jones out, Tyson Thompson unexpectedly took a backseat not only to Anthony Thomas, but to fellow rookie Marion Barber as well. Thompson had just three carries for 13 yards, while Thomas had 21 carries and Barber had 11. The Dallas coaching staff was apparently concerned with Thompson's ball security and pass protection.

With Julis Jones expected to be inactive today, Tyson Thompson could get handle much if not most of the rushing load. ESPN reports that Anthony Thomas will likely start, but that doesn't mean he'll get most of the carries.
